About Houstonia Helps

We at Houstonia magazine recognize that the greater Houston has many amazing charitable organizations that need our help. It is our mission to respond to the ever-evolving needs of our city by continually assessing what local relief organizations and shelters require and collecting donations to support them.

Current Donation Needs- Book Drive

At Houstonia magazine, local philanthropy and city-wide literacy are at the core of our values. In the spirit of making Houston a better city for all, we are giving back to our community with a book drive. This year’s drive benefits the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation. Donate a book in new or gently used condition August 1–31 at the Houstonia Heights office, and help us support the foundation’s mission of improving the quality of life for Houstonians of all ages through the power of literacy.
